As part of the 800th Anniversary Celebration, the Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies offers a series of meetings to three great protagonists of Italian culture, each with ties to the University of Padua.
The series commemorates the 100th anniversary of Andrea Zanzotto, Mario Rigoni Stern, and Luigi Meneghello’s birth.
Each meeting welcomes the contributions from various scholars outlining the profile of the three writers, moving from their formative years, the outcome of their studies, and into their contributions to Italian literature. With reflections on the broad panorama and impact on society, the scholars discuss how the literary ideas of these men have weathered over time.
Each meeting includes a Ritratto (Portrait) of each protagonist for discussion in April during the last event.
Each of the scheduled meetings includes a bibliographic exhibition, reading, and guided tour offered by the Beato Pellegrino library.
