Marco Ferreri (Milan, Italy 1928 – Paris, France 1997) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, actor, and film producer and set designer.

Ferreri began his cinema career in the early 1950s. In 1958, he released his first feature film El Pisito (The Little Apartment) along with Rafael Azcona. Within the 38 years of his directorial career, the 1970s characterized some of his greatest successes including, ‘Liza’, ‘The Big Feast’ and ‘Dillinger is Dead’. Ferreri received various prizes during his career including the 1978 Grand Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, the 1982 David di Donatello Award, and the 1991 Berlin Golden Bear.
