A new culture for childcare
In September 2021, the University of Padua opens a nursery for personnel, incorporating innovative educational projects with favourable economic support. This is a part of the University’s actions, evisaged in the Gender Equality Plan, to support parents and the balance between family and work.
Located in Via Ogissanti and named after the Italian Particle Physicist and University of Padua Graduate Milla BaldoCeolin, the nursery was made possible thanks to the support of the Cariparo Foundation and the SPES (Educational and Social Personal Services) of Padua. Hosting up to 50 children between 3 months to 3 years of age, the nursery offers 40 reserved places for children of University personnel, as well as children of doctoral students, PhD students, Research Fellows, Trainees, and postgraduates – as a results of a convention between the University and SPES.
