The Mystery of the Anatomist

Born in Brussels in 1514, Andrea Vesalius studied and taught in Padua between 1536 and 1543. At the end of his experience in Padua, he published one of the most influential books on human anatomy, De humani corporis fabrica (On the Fabric of the Human Body), which became a turning point in the history of medicine.
