The Italian edition of Wiki Loves Monuments launches, enhancing the cultural heritage of Italy on the world wide web. The Wikipedia photo contest invites citizens to document their cultural heritage by taking photographs of monuments, spaces and environments. Submissions must be freely licensed and demonstrate full respect for copyright and Italian legislation.
As such, the University of Padua organizes and promotes Wiki Loves Monuments of Veneto 2022, which includes a special Unipd800 prize for photographs of monuments and buildings of the University of Padua.
Participants can submit one or more previously taken and unpublished photos of places or monuments selected from a list indicated by the University. Images must be uploaded to the commons.wikimedia.org site between September 1 to 30. All submissions will become part of Wikimedia Commons, Wikipedia’s multimedia database.
On September 16 and 17, the Wikigita al Bo scheduled tour allows visitors to take external and internal photos of Palazzo Bo reservations are required for a maximum of 25 participants.
The photo exhibition award ceremony and inauguration are scheduled for November 18, 2022 at 5 pm at Santa Caterina complex via Cesare Battisti, 241 – Padova.
