The meeting is an opportunity to present the UniCity lab’s research for the three-year period 2019-2021 related to the relationship between the University and the city of Padua and is also the occasion for the first presentation of the results of the BIRD research on the impact COVID has had on the city.

UniCity Lab was created with the aim of studying and designing joint policy interventions for the strategic development of Padua as a “university city”. The theme of the strategic role of a large university historically rooted in the city – which is the University of Padua –  has not so far been the subject of in-depth research and analysis. The University and the city are not two parallel dimensions, but they coexist, influence each other and merge to the point that the university campus can be made to coincide with the entire city.

The intent of the project is to experiment, by means of new survey tools, analysis methodologies and policies, with the aim of understanding and analyzing the urban development processes that involve the University, providing an integrated information service to the City and the University of Padua.

After the institutional greetings, the meeting hosts: Michelangelo Savino, Roberto Antonietti, Elena Botton, Dario Lucchesi, Vincenzo Romania, Andrea Marella, Marco Locatelli, Gianpiero Turchi, Giorgia Bortolami, Lorenza Perini, Elena Bonel, Giorgio Andrian, Silvia Sedita, Anna Mazzi e Elena Battiston.
Coordinator: Patrizia Messina.

The event is sold out but it is streamed online trough Zoom platform. (ID: 837 5961 2124)
