The Botanical Garden welcomes visitors to enjoy a unique experience that reveals the secrets of plants in a nocturnal atmosphere guided by a lit torch, animated reading and, for the first time, the possibility of spending the evening under the stars. Participants will fall asleep in a tent immersed in the silent green only to rise in front of the greenhouses of the Biodiversity Garden, ready to help gardeners care for and groom the oldest university botanical garden in the world.
This event is geared for kids aged 6 to 12, and an accompanied adult.
Reservation and tickets are required for the special event.
The event is organized in celebrations of the 800th anniversary of the University of Padua, as the Botanical Garden offers the Summertime in the Garden series of events that highlights the University’s dedication to Freedom. Libera la Natura (Free Nature) offers the public a ‘live’ viewing of the Botanical Garden and its collection, sharing secrets of the plant world from this unique location and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
