With the release date of February 2, the Aula Magna of Palazzo Bo hosts the ceremony presenting the new 800th Anniversary of the University of Padua celebratory stamp as part of the Italian Excellence in Knowledge stamp collection series.
The University of Padua Rector Daniela Mapelli and the Delegate for Communication and Scientific Dissemination Telmo Pievani, welcome the Philatelic Commercial Coordinator of Poste Italiane Claudio Vescovi, and the Director of the Padua Poste Italiane branch Francesca Mauro to the ceremony.
For those who attend the presentation event, it is possible to buy the stamp at Palazzo Bo, in the Sala dei 40, from 12 to 13.30 on February 2.
Furthermore, on February 2, the central post office of Padua offers collectors to purchase stamps sold with cancellation markings, while the new 800th Anniversary stamp will be available in all Italian post offices on the same day.
Two stamps are used for specific cancellation purposes, one to be destroyed, while the other to be kept in the Historical Museum of Communication.
