As part of the ‘Di palco in parco’ series of theatrical performances organized in collaboration with the Teatro Stabile del Veneto, the Febo Teatro theatre company stages a performance for audiences of children and all ages at Milcovich Park.
A group of street artists tell the story from the perspective of the two stepsisters after Cinderella’s coronation as queen. The evil stepsisters are found living off of handouts, harboring envy and dreaming of revenge. Their sinister plan to kidnap Cinderella’s daughter is a feeble effort, aimed at showing how it felt when they were forced to give up their dreams of becoming princesses.
The stepsisters bicker over who knows more about caring for newborns, only to discover that it’s not so simple, as the little princess continues to cry. After several hours, they collapse to the ground and begin to hum a gentle tune in desperation. To their amazement, it works! They learn that they actually enjoy singing to little princess, and they find themselves falling in love with her.
Admission is free, reservations are not required.
