Launching the first edition of Science4All, a new event by the University of Padua that aims at communicating science in a simple and fun way.
The public and kids of all ages can feel like a scientist for the day with this not to be missed opportunity that combines experiments, games, quizzes, workshops, guided tours and scientific demonstrations within everyone’s reach.
Science 4All follows a similar format to the annual VenetoNight and KidsUniversity by offering a unique and rich program of activities. Held from September 26 to October 2, 2022 the weeklong event including hundreds of free access activities and specially reserved activities open to public at the weekend.
University researchers host inquisitive visitors in the afternoons and evenings of September 30 and October 1 at Palazzo Bo, the Beato Pellegrino Complex and the University of Padua UNESCO World Heritage Site Botanical Gardens. While the final day of activities on Sunday, October 2, offers access to various University museums, including the Botanical Garden open to the public.
From October 1, the Anatomical Theater Kitchen at Palazzo Bo hosts the art exhibition open to the public Cercando il cuore (Looking for the Heart), an artistic exhibition that exposes the work Dynamica…cercando il cuore by Alberto Biasi, Karsu by Biancarosa Volpe and The Ghost Heart by Giancarlo Signoretto, Agnese Tegon and Gino Gerosa.
In the mornings from Monday, September 26 to Friday, September 30 activities are dedicated to primary school children (3rd, 4th, 5th) and lower secondary school students. The schedule includes 65 free activities (each about 90 minutes) available at time slots (9 am and 11 am) for groups of 20 to 30 students each.
The University opens its classrooms, departments, university centers, buildings, museums and Botanical Garden to schools. Online registration for activities is available from September 5 to 14.
An unforgettable “graduation” ceremony is also scheduled to be held at the end of the week for young participants.
