As part of the 800th anniversary of the University of Padua, the Rivoluzione review allows those from Italian culture to give a voice to a famous alumnus by sharing their stories and life’s work. The review is organized by the Gabinetto di Lettura Association, based on a project by Paola Cattaneo.
The meeting welcomes actor Moni Ovadia, as he pays tribute to the celebrated Italian author and University of Padua student, Luigi Meneghello (1922 – 2007), on the 100th anniversary since his birth.
Luigi Meneghello story as a writer and partisan is an opportunity to remember that the University of Padua is the only university in Italy awarded with the Gold Medal for Military Valor for the many extraordinary actions carried out by students and teachers during Italy’s liberation from Nazi-Fascism.
The meeting includes a musical performance by Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, as Rivoluzione is illustrated through music and an original dialogue alongside the portrait of the famous University of Padua alumni.
The Rivoluzione review aims to create a unique and original narrative of historical biographies with new and interesting points of view. The review is a tribute to the 800 years of revolutionary knowledge, culture and traditions of which the University of Padua has sustained over the centuries. Each appointment is accompanied by a musical performance, made possible thanks to the organizational and extraordinary collaboration of the Orchestra Foundation of Padua and Veneto (OPV).
Admission is free upon registration.
