This year, the LILT (Lega Italiana Lotta contro i Tumori) celebrates 100 years since its foundation with a non-competitive charity run. Participants from 20 Italian cities are encouraged to run in their favourite pyjamas, as the Pigiama Run, raises awareness and supports all those in need of paediatric care.
The LILT chapter of Padua has chosen to support the Regional Reference Centre for Paediatric Palliative Care and Pain Therapy of Padua, together with Fondazione Salus Pueri and the University of Padua’s Department of Women’s and Children’s Health.
The charity race includes different routes suitable for those who love running and those who prefer to walk. As pyjamas are battle uniforms for kids during their fight against cancer, participants are encouraged to wear their PJs as a gesture of solidarity.
Sponsored by the University of Padua, the charity run is part of the schedule of events organized in celebration of its 800th Anniversary.
Online registration is open until 6:00 pm on September 30, 2022. All participants are gifted a drawstring sports bag with coupons and gadgets.
