Humanity has always found a deep connection with nature, especially the plant kingdom. Trees live long and can survive disasters, they can heal us… but they can also kill us.
On Wednesday, August 10, the Botanical Garden of Padua offers an evening guided tour, inviting visitors to stroll among the coolness of the plants at sunset as they listen to ancestral and fantastical stories inspired by the plant world, exploring the fine line between reality and legend.
Entrance tickets (5 euros) are available online at the ticket office (open Tuesday to Sunday and on holidays from 10 am to 6:15 pm).
The event is held outdoors; in case of bad weather, tours are postponed to Thursday, August 11.
The event is organized in celebrations of the 800th anniversary of the University of Padua, as the Botanical Garden offers the Summertime in the Garden series of events that highlights the University’s dedication to Freedom. Libera la Natura (Free Nature) offers the public a ‘live’ viewing of the Botanical Garden and its collection, sharing secrets of the plant world from this unique location and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
