As part of the L’Occhio in Gioco exhibition and in celebration of the 800th Anniversary of the University of Padua, neuroscientist Giorgio Vallortigara examines perspectives of the world as seen through the eyes of other animals in his lecture Passeggiate nei mondi percettivi degli (altri) animali. The event includes a dialogue with curators from the L’Occhio in Gioco exhibition and is open to the public.
Giorgio Vallortigara is a professor of Neuroscience at the University of Trento. He is the author of more than 300 scientific articles (with over 23,000 citations) and some popular books (most recently “Thoughts of the fly with a crooked head” published by Adelphi in 2021). Awarded the Geoffroy Saint Hilaire International Prize for Ethology and an honorary degree from Ruhr University Prof Vallortigara also writes for various newspapers and magazines, such as Sole 24 Ore, Prometeo, and Le Scienze.
