The Aula Magna of Palazzo Bo to host the book presentation of “Alla prova della contemporaneità. Intellettuali e politica dall’Ottocento a oggi“. The volume is part of Patavina libertas. Una storia europea dell’Università book series, published by Donzelli and Padova University Press.
The presentation welcomes the Rector of the University of Padua, Daniela Mapelli, the Director of the Centre of Historical Resistance and the Contemporary Age, Filippo Focardi, the authors Adriano Mansi and Giulia Simone, and Carlo Fumian who edited the book.
Scheduled quests include Giuliano Amato, President of the Convention on the Future of Europe, AndreaGraziosi, Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Naples Federico II, Donald Sassoon, Emeritus Professor of Comparative European History at the Queen Mary University of London, and the writer and historian Benedetta Tobagi.
Elisabetta Tola, scientific and data journalist and Il Bo live editor in chief, moderates the event.
The event is realized in collaboration with Casrec (Centro di Ateneo per la storia della Resistenza e dell’età contemporanea).
