In celebrations of the 800th Anniversary of the University of Padua, the Aula Magna of Palazzo Bo host the book presentation of Le grandi leggi dell’umanità by professor of commercial law, Marco Cian.

The book offers an anthological itinerary covering the most famous normative and founding part of a standard text of the history of human civilization found in Europe and Italy.

The work is a participatory celebration between the Department of Private Law and Critique of Law of the University of Padua.  The book’s publications, as part of the 800th Anniversary of the University of Padua, is a reminder that as one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the world, Padua has been a place where the science of law has been taught since its foundation.

After greetings by Rector Daniela Mapelli and the President of the Court of Padua Caterina Santinello, the book presentation follows with a discussion between Manlio Miele (Director of the Department of Private Law and Critique of Law), Marco Cian (editor of Le grandi leggi dell’umanità and tenure professor of commercial law), Chiara Valsecchi (former President of the School of Law), Sergio Giordani  (Mayor of Padua), Marco Silva (President of the Notarial School of the Triveneto Committee), Leonardo Arnau (President of the Council of the Padua Bar Association), and Isabella Viscardi of Wolters Kluwer Italia – CEDAM.
