The Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies (DISLL) organizes a conference celebrating the 100th anniversary of Mario Rigoni Stern’s birth.
The conference, that is chaired by Valentina Gallo, begins on the first at 3 p.m. day with the participation of Emilio Franzina, Fabio Magro and Paolo Lanaro, a guided tour di the Beato Pellegrino Library, and a recitation of Rigoni Stern’s work by Paolo Rumiz, at 6 p.m.
The second day (from 9 a.m.) offers several interventions contributing to the discussion on the environment and the work of the poet (Giuseppe Mendicino, Sara Luchetta and Mario Isnenghi). The meeting ends with the vision of the portrait “Mario Rigoni Stern” commented by Eraldo Affinati.

During the days of the conference the Beato Pellegrino library organizes several activities: a bibliographical and documentary exhibition, guided tours and lectures.
The Disll also organizes meetings for the centenaries of the birth of Andrea Zanzotto (November, 12-13, 2021) and Luigi Meneghello (April 25-26, 2022).
The meetings are accompanied by bibliographic and documentary exhibitions by the Beato Pellegrino library.
The meetings are part of the celebrations for the 800th anniversary of the University of Padua.
