The Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies (DISLL) organizes a conference celebrating the 100th anniversary of Luigi Meneghello’s birth, who was a student at the University of Padua.
The conference begins on the first day with the participation of Mario Isnenghi and Anna Baldini, and a recitation of Meneghello’s work by Francesco Maino.
The second day offers several interventions contributing to the discussion on the environment and the work of the poet (Gianni Turchetta, Pietro De Marchi, and Francesca Caputo). The conference ends with the vision of the portrait “Luigi Meneghello”.
This is the last meeting of a cycle of three conferences on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of three great writer who are closely linked with the University of Padua: Andrea Zanzotto (November 2021 ), Mario Rigoni Stern (17 and 18 December 2021) and, in fact, Luigi Meneghello.
On the last day of this final conference, on April 26, the “Portraits” of each master are commented; on the same day, the conclusions of the celebrations of the three centenaries are entrusted to Gianfranco Bettin and Marco Paolini.
The meetings are accompanied by bibliographic and documentary exhibitions by the Beato Pellegrino library.
The conference is part of the celebrations for the 800th anniversary of the University of Padua.
