The Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies (DISLL) organizes a conference celebrating the 100th anniversary of Andrea Zanzotto’s birth.

The conference begins on the first day with the participation of Giuseppe Sandrini and Angela Borghesi and a recitation of Zanzotto’s work by Patrizia Laquidara. At the end of the meeting, at 9 p.m. at Cinema-Teatro MPX, will be projected the documentary film on Andrea Zanzotto by Denis Brotto.

During the second day, the discussion moves from the Beato Pellegrino to the Sala Anziani of Palazzo Moroni. Several participations contribute to the discussion on the environment and the work of the poet (Andrea Cortellessa, Giancarlo Alfano and Emanuele Zinato). The meeting ends with the vision of the portrait “Andrea Zanzotto” and commentary by Gian Mario Villalta.

The Disll also organizes meetings for the centenaries of the birth of Mario Rigoni Stern (December 17-18, 2021) and Luigi Meneghello (April 25-26, 2022).

The conference is part of the celebrations for the 800th anniversary of the University of Padua.

During the days of the conference the Beato Pellegrino library organizes several activities: a bibliographical and documentary exhibition, guided tours and lectures.

Participation at the event is free of charge, but registration is compulsory. Digital Covid Certificate (Green Pass) is required to enter the venue.
