The Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Padua and the INFN Section of Padova, remember Milla Baldo Ceolin, the first woman to obtain a chair in Physics at the University of Padua in 1963, ten years after her death. The scientist worked in Padova doing studies and research on physics.
Under the patronage of INFN, the University of Padova and the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti, the conference will be held over two days.
On November 24, the theatrical performance “La Forza Nascosta” directed by Gabriella Bordin will take place at the Aula Rostagni.
On November 25 will take place the conference ‘The Day in memory of Milla Baldo Ceolin’.
The conference opens with institutional greetings by Mauro Mezzetto (DIp. of Physics and Astronomy), Flavio Seno (director of the Department), Umberto Dosselli (director INFN-PD), Daniela Mapelli (rector of the University of Padua), Antonio Zoccoli (INFN president).
The first speech of the day (on Zoom) is by Giorgio Parisi, Nobel Prize 2021, followed by Stavros Katsanevas (Director of EGO), Angela Bracco (President of SIF) and Giovanni Costa (President of the Veneto Institute). The second part of the day offers several interventions by Teresa Montaruli, Karoline Schaeffer, Sara Bolognesi, Silvia Pascoli.
