On Friday, April 1, as part of the conference celebrating 30 Years of the Cariparo Foundation: Roots and Perspectives of Philanthropy, the Italian
Minister of Economy and Finance Daniele Franco receives the Alumnus of the Year award from the University and Alumni Association of the University of Padua. The award is the highest recognition given by the Alumni Association on a graduate of the University of Padua, distinguishing their contribution and impact that bears witness to the values of the University and for having represented Patavina Libertas in their personal and professional careers.

The president of the State Mint and Polygraphic Institute will then present the 800th Anniversary of the University of Padua commemorative coin. The new 5 euro silver coin that celebrates eight centuries of the University is intended to be enjoyed by collectors, organizations, associations, and enthusiasts.

Among other guests, the event welcomes University of Padua Rector Daniela Mapelli, President of ACRI Francesco Profumo, and President of Intesa Sanpaolo Gian Maria Gros-Pietro. Professor of Contemporary History Carlo Fumian (University of Padua) shares the impact and role of Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo over 200 years of its activity.

The event takes place in the Aula Magna of Palazzo Bo and is part of the program celebrating the 800th Anniversary of the University of Padua.
