As part of the LiberaMente, event series, the Bishop of the Church of Padua Claudio Cipolla meets educators and Unipd staff in the Barbarigo room of the Diocesan Museum on 10 November for a discussion on some of the most important topics of university life.

Registration is required to participate.

The Eucharistic celebration for the beginning of the academic year is held on November 16 at 6 pm in the Basilica of Sant’Antonio. Students, educators, and staff of the University of Padua, along with the Theological Faculty of Triveneto, the Institute of Pastoral Liturgy of S. Giustina, the Theological Institute of St. Anthony Doctor, and the Cesare Pollini Conservatory are invited.

The liturgy is officiated by the Bishop of Belluno Feltre, Renato Marangoni, who also presides as the President of the Commission for Education, School, Culture and University of the Triveneta Episcopal Conference.

The Eucharistic Celebration in suffrage for deceased members of the teaching staff and students of the University of Padua is held at the Santa Caterina Church on November 25 at 6:30 pm. The service includes a performance by the Caterina ensemble choir directed by Maestro A. Kirshener.

The Santa Caterina Church has long been linked to the University of Padua when it
was chosen as the headquarters of the University of Jurists in 1377. Since then, the church has carried out a solemn procession on November 25, a day of the liturgical feast of their patron saint Santa Caterina.
