20 November 2022 @ 19:30 - 21:00

As the European Union declares 2022 as the European Year of Youth and by taking inspiration from the values of freedom that have made this year the 800th anniversary of the University of Padua, the activities of the Clerici Vagantes bring four choirs from Veneto, Friuli Venezia-Giulia, and Trentino Alto Adige together for one concert.

Cantores vagantes is the title of a musical event that welcomes four choirs together for a single concert on November 20 in the Auditorium of the Liceo Modigliani in Padua. The event includes repertoires from the Italian composer Palestrina to the British rock band Coldplay, as well as the music of percussionist Enrico Malatesta and singer-songwriter Fabrizio De André.

Welcomed to the stage are the Corollary choir, the Department of Mathematics dance ensemble choreographed by Nunzio Borra, the Liceo Oberdan Choir (Trieste) directed by Stefano Klamert, the Sine Tempore Choir from the CEDiM Center for Music Education and Divulgation (Udine) directed by Tamara Mansutti, and the Choir_T (Trento) directed by Federico Viola.

The event is a starting point, as the four choirs will unite between 2022 and 2023 for a “Choir Erasmus”, during which they will have the opportunity to work individually and collectively with different teachers towards building a single repertoire to take on tour across the Italian North East.
